  • For Spring/Summer 2013, Phoebe Philo delivers a more laid-back show for Céline relative to previous collections: satins, crepes, and leathers were worked into twists and knots, often finished with raw-cut edges to evoke a sense of relaxed, nonchalant refinement.

    On this piece, matte satin-back crepe is twisted across the chest over a sleeveless bonded-charmeuse body. The shorter crepe panels cover the bust, allowing for braless wear, while an invisible zip closes the back in the same fabric.

    The design suggests an approach of reworking, as though the top’s outer layer had been taken apart and twisted to reveal a contrasting lining.

    This piece was featured in Céline’s Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, worn by house muse Daria Werbowy.
