  • Prada’s Fall/Winter 1996 seemed much in conversation with the now-iconic “ugly chic” collection that preceded it, taking a similar approach of using restrained, archetypal silhouettes, disrupted by an odd color palette and eccentric choices of print.

    These trousers follow that formula: its simple construction is made distinctive by an all-over U-motif print; a recurring graphic in the collection. Its interlocking forms are hand-drawn in colored marker, in varying shades of brown, camel and yellow.
