For Prada’s Fall/Winter 1998, minimalist silhouettes were pushed into futuristic territory through sharp geometry. Skirts were cut at the knee, some had seams split and basted together, and on others, pleats were sliced apart. The latter included this one in grey wool gabardine.
The skirt consists of rectangular panels that overlap at the waist, and split open at the legs, like deconstructed pleats. In movement, the panels work independently and reveal the legs with each stride.
