  • Inspired by hand-me-downs and vintage, Phoebe Philo’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection for Céline included this navy satin skirt.

    Cut to an asymmetrical length, the skirt is designed to appear as though turned inside out, showcasing design elements one would expect on the interior of a garment.

    Bias-bound seams and a hem facing in floral-print silk satin are all exposed, making the skirt’s construction as the design; function as form. Godets are thoughtfully placed by the left leg for a kick flare when worn.
