Shown in Céline’s Pre-Fall 2015 lookbook, these fringed pants are made in Italy from a brown viscose rib knit that is fluid, weighty, and generously stretchy. In movement, they reveal a two-tone knit construction, with black ribs visible between the brown.
The hems are finished with fringes, which are the loose threads left at the end of the machine-knitting process. They are kept untrimmed and turned into embellishment—a form of decoration that results directly from the way the fabric is made.
