  • Drawing from traditional Japanese dress, Prada’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection used straightforward silhouettes against floral motifs to explore contrasting ideas of femininity.

    Made in light silk satin, this dress is cut close to the body with a round collar and three-quarter sleeves. Its otherwise spare appearance is interrupted by origami-like embroidery at the chest in white satin and red cotton yarn, recalling traditional Japanese motifs such as the Nippon daisy or the chrysanthemum crest.
