  • Phoebe Philo’s collection for Céline’s Spring/Summer 2016 was a series of propositions to a self-imposed question: what clothes would a woman need for a year of travel?

    This beaded cropped top was one answer, designed as a versatile piece that moves easily between day and evening, while remaining practical to pack and wear.

    Cut like a loose bolero worn back to front, it is embellished with dense clusters of shiny black sequins, and further dotted with faceted black beads. A foldover collar and short sleeves frame the front, while the open back features long ties for closure.

    A beaded silk habotai panel hangs at the back to add weight, ensuring the piece stays in place on the body.
