  • Simple separates in cotton and linen opened Prada’s Spring/Summer 1998 show; understated staples that exemplified minimalism in the late ’90s.

    As the show unfolded, these same silhouettes incorporated various forms of embellishment: beading, geometric prints, and the use of synthetic latex, as seen in this bimaterial shirt.

    Cut in light linen canvas, the shirt is lightly shaped at the waist, and finished with three-quarter sleeves. The collar and center front are rendered in translucent synthetic latex, with blanket-stitched linen tabs securing snap buttons along the placket.
